python3-distutils-extra software package provides enhancements to the Python3 build system, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python3-distutils-extra
python3-distutils-extra is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python3-distutils-extra package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python3-distutils-extra *
You will get with python3-distutils-extra package name, version, architecture and description in a table
